Amy – Owner

In 2008, Amy recognized the need for in-home pet care services in the community and decided to do something about it.  She began pet sitting & dog walking herself, and over the years, the Lucky Dogs team has grown in response to client needs.  Mobile dog grooming was added in 2012 and the Lucky Dogs store was opened in 2017. The grooming team transitioned away from mobile dog grooming into the Lucky Dogs Grooming Spa in 2025. Amy & her husband, Pat, love being a part of the Skaneateles community and are proud to run a local business. 

Pat – Owner

Pat worked in medical sales and traveled all around North America for 25 years before retiring in 2017.  After enjoying some much deserved R&R, he joined the Lucky Dogs team in 2018, working both behind the scenes and at the store.  When he’s not at the store, he can often be spotted around Skaneateles with their black Labs – Saoirse, Caoimhe, & Ailis.

Chelsea – Certified Groomer

Chelsea’s passion for dog grooming started very unexpectedly in 2012 at a corporate pet store, then in 2015, she joined the Lucky Dogs team. She has dedicated her life to animals, and shares her house with 4 dogs – Stella, Puplo, Tatum and Udon – along with 3 cats, 3 rabbits, a couple of mice, a snake and 2 tropical fish tanks. She also has a strong passion for fostering animals in need. Chelsea has a growing love for creative color on dogs that started 12 years ago with her Saint Bernard, Deniro, and it continues with her newfy/poodle mix, Udon. Making dogs feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful is her favorite thing, and Chelsea can’t wait to work with your pups!

Chelsea – Pet Sitter & Dog Walker

Chelsea has been working for Lucky Dogs as a pet sitter & dog walker since 2014. She treats every pet that she encounters as if they are her own, and with the love and care that they deserve. Chelsea has 1 dog, 3 cats, and a son who is following in his mama’s footsteps as an animal lover.

Natalie – Certified Groomer

Natalie began grooming in 2021 and joined Lucky Dogs in 2022. She has one dog, a Pitbull, named Beetle. Her passions include marching band, color guard, and reversing breed stereotyping. There is no such thing as a bad dog.
